Communications Director & Supervising Attorney - Paul Haidle
Paul Haidle is a movement lawyer focused on healing, empowerment, and systemic change. As a practicing attorney, Paul has deep experience with the criminal legal system, particularly focused on the intersections of race, gender, ability, housing status and arrest/conviction histories. His prior experience as an attorney includes work as a tribal public defender, the supervising attorney for criminal records, and as a deputy city attorney. As an advocate for systemic change, Paul has helped foster spaces led by directly impacted people that have been critical to legislative campaigns, such as solitary confinement reform, expungement, probation and parole reform, protections for immigrant youth, and police accountability.
Prior to joining TIRC, Paul served as the Director of Strategic Advocacy with Cabrini Green Legal Aid where he led the Association of Pro Bono Counsel Second Chance IMPACT project providing pro bono legal services, including executive clemency, for people with criminal records.
Outside of work, Paul loves to cook, listen to music, and spend time in nature.
