Staff Attorney - Victoria Chaves

Victoria Chaves currently serves as a Staff Attorney for the Torture Inquiry Relief Commission and has dedicated her career to public service and criminal justice. Prior to joining the TIRC, Victoria worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office within the felony trial division. Victoria also previously worked as a Staff Attorney for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit where she assisted pro se domestic abuse survivors in their preparation of emergency petitions for orders of protection. Victoria earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
